NDLEA Katsina State Command Executes Successful Operation, Apprehends Drug Trafficker

KATSINA, 28th February 2024 - In a commendable operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Katsina State Command has apprehended a drug trafficker during a proactive Stop and Search Patrol along the Kano-Katsina Express Way on 17th February 2024.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jamilu Haruna, a resident of Charanchi LGA, Katsina State, was intercepted among passengers in a commercial vehicle traveling from Lagos to Charanchi LGA. A meticulous search revealed concealed illicit drugs within a rear tube of a dilapidated bicycle owned by Haruna.

The recovered illicit substances include:
1. 154 grams of Cannabis Sativa
2. 6.3 grams of Diazepam Pills
3. 8.6 grams of Exol-5

Active investigations are underway to unearth additional information that could lead to the apprehension of potential accomplices.
